"Who is E.L.?" Theodore whispered to himself. He looked at the watch closely. It seemed much more valuable than anything he had ever owned. When he pressed a small button on its side, the watch clicked open. Suddenly, a soft blue light filled the room. Theodore stepped back in surprise. Then, something truly unbelievable happened. A picture appeared inside the watch. It wasn’t a regular photograph; it looked like a living, breathing person. The picture showed a young woman with long dark hair, bright eyes, and a very gentle smile. Theodore could not stop staring. For some reason, he felt as if he already knew her. Then, words appeared beneath her image: *Eleanor Lancaster.* Before Theodore could understand what was happening, his wall clock struck midnight.
