Chapter 1: The Mysterious Watch · Page 1 of 3Overall 1 / 46 · preview 5
"What if the love of your life lived 50 years in the future?" Every midnight, a lonely clockmaker receives a call through time from a girl he's never met. Different worlds. Different timelines. One impossible love. But when he discovers that she is destined to die, he must choose between saving the woman he loves and protecting the future itself. A story of love, sacrifice, and destiny. The Clockmaker's Promise "Some hearts are meant to find each other... even across time."
The year was 2189. The world had changed completely. Cars could fly, people traveled between cities in minutes, and everyone was busy with high-tech gadgets. Handwritten letters were a thing of the past; nobody had time for them anymore.
But Theodore Ashcroft was different.
At twenty-four, he lived alone in a small, cozy workshop on the edge of the floating city, New London. While everyone else loved the latest technology, Theodore loved old things. His workshop was always filled with antique clocks, pocket watches, and dusty books.
People often laughed at him. "Why do you waste your time fixing these old, useless watches?" they would ask.
Theodore would just smile and say, "Because every watch has a story to tell."
One evening, it was raining heavily. Just as Theodore was about to close his shop, he noticed a small package lying outside his door. There was no name on it. Curious, he picked it up and brought it inside.
The package was wrapped in old, faded brown paper. He opened it carefully and found a beautiful silver pocket watch. Even in the dim light of his shop, the watch shone brightly. On the back, he saw two letters engraved: E.L.
